this blog is named after my snapchat private story
Before I get into real topics such as my experience with online dating and the reasons as to why Folklore by Taylor Swift has changed my perspective on love, I will introduce myself. As mentioned in my “About” tab, first introductions are not my forte. However, oversharing is. So that is what I will do.
I come from a family of six children and am strategically placed right in the middle. I blame this placement to be the cause of 98% of my personality. The other 2% I’d blame on the stars. I can’t tell if I like astrology or if I use it to excuse the fact that I repost birthday shoutouts on my instagram story. Either way, it works out.
In high school, I was a theater kid after many failed attempts at sports. My Dad kicked me off the T-ball team he coached because I complained about the amount of sweat that accumulated when standing in the direct sunlight. I was 5. After that, I tried soccer in attempt to redeem myself. I spent many days being told I can't start conversations in the middle of a game with the opposing team. I took a break from sports at the end of middle school, and began theater. My first role was Scuttle the Seagull in the Little Mermaid Jr. Some people peaked in high school, some later in life. I know to this day that was my peak. After this role, I began to realize how easy it was to be the center of attention. You simply sign up outside the music office. High school came and I continued with the theater and singing. I decided junior year that I should make my come back at sports. I did tennis and indoor track towards the end of high school. My track coach did not like how I sang during the warm-ups and contacted my theater director to ask what the hell I was doing. I felt like the real Troy Bolton. I then quit and thank god graduation was right around the corner which left no more opportunities to try something like basketball.
I am currently a junior at a small college in Boston. I came in as biology major and quickly switched after I spilt copper in my first chem lab creating a percent error of 97. I then dropped and left my lab partner with the consequences. This is my formal apology, George. I then changed my major to marketing with a minor in communications and felt safe again. I like to dabble in science the way I dabble in sports. Periodically, just to make sure that I still suck at them.
I now reside in my childhood bedroom as I earn an online marketing degree.
